INRIA, the French national institute for research in computer science and control is dedicated to fundamental and applied research in information and communication science and technology (ICST). The Institute also plays a major role in technology transfer by fostering training through research, diffusion of scientific and technical information, development, as well as providing expert advice and participating in international programs. By playing a leading role in the scientific community in the field and being in close contact with industry, INRIA is a major participant in the development of ICST in France.

INRIA co-organized the COSGov Conference in Vietnam (2005). Furthermore INRIA will co-organize the it@foss initiative “Supporting Vietnam to generate business out of free and open source software” in the context of the Asia-Invest II Programme (TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE) 2006 - 2007.
